In Conversation: Alex White and Emma Ramsay from Tele Visions

The directors of Tele Visions, Emma Ramsay and Alex White, chat to Jessie Scott about anarchy on the airwaves, art on TV, public access to the spectrum, and what the death of analogue might mean for us all…

Refusing to not take TV seriously, Alex and Emma have programmed an exciting and thoughtful series of screenings, broadcasts, talks and performances which will commemorate, contemplate and explode our understanding of analogue TV, in the brief moments before it disappears forever. Feature artists include: Kate Blackmore and Frances Barrett (Brown Council), Joel Stern, Lara Thoms + more more more.

From their web: “Tele Visions is a series of events and broadcasts demarcating and exploiting the shutdown of analog TV in Australia through the presentation of works that create new intersections between the television medium and contemporary art. Tele Visions is timed to coincide with the final shutdown of analog television in Australia on December 3rd, 2013.”
